About Us

Hidden Hands Workshop is a conservation studio based between Melbourne and Geelong, specialising in the care and restoration of paintings, textiles, and objects. Founded by conservators Sasha Kozyrevich and Beatrice Dahllof, our practice brings together technical skill, historical knowledge, and a deep respect for cultural heritage to ensure artworks and heirlooms endure for generations.

Our Team

At Hidden Hands Workshop, conservation is never one-sided. Our work is shaped by two complementary perspectives. Beatrice trained as a practising artist before specialising in painting conservation, while Sasha’s background lies in material science and the technical study of artworks. This combination of artistic sensitivity and scientific precision ensures treatments are both technically rigorous and visually sympathetic.

Together, we bring experience from museums, heritage organisations, and private collections in Australia and internationally. Having worked across different environments and cultural contexts, we understand the varied challenges that artworks face worldwide. This breadth of experience allows us to see the full picture: how materials behave, how artworks were created, and how best to protect them for the future.

Our Approach

At Hidden Hands Workshop, we believe conservation should be accessible and transparent. We tailor treatment plans to suit the unique needs of each artwork and each client, offering clear communication and practical solutions at every step. Our goal is to protect not only the physical object, but also the stories and memories it carries. Whether preserving local history or caring for a personal treasure, we are committed to ethical, sustainable, and professional conservation that keeps the art you love alive.
